  • PELCO® ESD Safe Plastic Tipped Tweezers
PVDF (SV), Polyamide 66 (CF), PEEK (CP)

Conductive, synthetic carbon fiber reinforced tips with non-magnetic stainless steel grips. Sturdy and non-scratching. Clean room compatible. Light weight and strong.

SV - PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) reinforced with carbon fiber.

    1. Excellent mechanical strength and toughness
    2. Smooth surface
    3. Heat stabilized, high heat capability, continuous use temperature up to 150°C (302°F)
    4. High purity (clean room and medical devices approved, low extraction value)
    5. Excellent chemical resistance to most aggressive substances and solvents. Resistant to halogens
    6. Outstanding resistance to hydrofluoric acid (40% conc., 90°C, 194°F), nitric acid (50% conc., 90°C, 194°F), hydrochloric acid (36% conc., 90°C, 194°F)
    7. High abrasion resistance
    8. Resistant to UV and nuclear radiation (sterilization)
    9. ESD safe material
    10. Typical applications include handling of very scratch and contamination-sensitive components, cleaning and etching processes

CF - Carbofib (Polyamide 66) reinforced with carbon fiber.

    1. Heat stabilized
    2. Very high rigidity, excellent tensile and flexural strength, fatigue and creep resistance
    3. Low friction, self-lubricating properties, excellent wear and abrasion resistance
    4. Good heat capability
    5. Good chemical resistance (oils, grease, fuels, non-polar solvents); not resistant to strong acids, alkalis and hot water or steam
    6. ESD safe material
    7. Very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion
    8. Typical applications include handling of sensitive components and devices (electronic components, micro-mechanical parts, glass and ceramic substrates, capillary, etc.)

CP - PEEK (polyether ether ketone) reinforced with carbon fiber

    1. Very hard, rigid, high tensile and flexural strength, very high wear resistance
    2. High heat capability (260-300°C, 500-572°F), good dimension stability, low thermal linear expansion coefficient
    3. Excellent resistance to chemicals and aggressive agents, excellent resistance to thermal ageing
    4. ESD-safe material
    5. Typical applications include handling of components in cleaning/chemical/assembly processes also at high temperature (soldering)
