SEM Pin Mount Specimen Holders
for Scanning Electron Microscopy
A large selection of SEM specimen holders for SEMs, FESEMs, and FIB systems, which are using the standard 3.2mm (1/8") pin type mount. Some of the larger holders require a larger specimen chamber and a larger stage. Depending on the available distance, Z-movement and maximum specimen height provided by the specimen stage in the SEM, pin stub extenders might be added to obtain the optimized working height. These specimen holders can also be used on JEOL SEMs if a pin mount adapter to JEOL cylinder mount is used (#15362, #15362-12, #15362-15, #16153-9, or #16216-9).

Top Referencing Metallographic Mount Holder, 1" to 1.5" (25 to 32mm)
Spring-loaded specimen holder for single metallographic mounts 1" to 1.5" in diameter, and up to 0.5" (12.7mm) thick. Shown with, and without, an example of a mounted sample. The sample is pressed to the cap by the spring, ensuring the polished face of the specimen is flat across the mount. The removeable insert is used for 1" samples and is removed for larger samples. Ideal for wide area imaging, and stitching images with minimal focus change between stage moves. Supplied with a short M4 x 6mm removable pin stub.
Dual Top Referencing Metallographic Mount Holder, 1" to 1.5" (25 to 32mm)
Dual spring-loaded specimen holder for two metallographic mounts 1" to 1.5" in diameter, and up to 0.5" (12.7mm) thick. The sample is pressed to the cap by the spring, ensuring the polished face of the specimen is flat across the mount. The removeable insert is used for 1" samples and is removed for larger samples. Ideal for wide area imaging, and stitching images with minimal focus change between stage moves. Two locations for 12.7 mm pin stubs are included for mounting of analysis standards with the samples.
