40N/m, 320kHz, Hardened DLC Tip Coating

  • A pack of DLC coated Silicon Probes.
    Quantity = 10

Bruker's Value Line Probe with hardened Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating for increased tip lifetime.

    Specifications:
    - Diamond-Like Carbon coating on tip.
    - Tip radius of 18nm nominal.
    - 40N/m, 320kHz, Al Reflective Coating.
    - Unmounted for use on any AFM.
  • The diamond like carbon (DLC) coating is used to harden the tip to increase its lifetime. The tradeoff for the increased lifetime is that the coating also increases the diameter of the tip. This DLC film is insulating, for applications requiring a conductive hardened film, consider the Doped Diamond line of probes (DDESP-V2 or DDESP-FM-V2).

    Tip Geometry: Standard (Steep)
    Tip Height: 10 - 15
    Front Angle: 25 ± 2.5
    Back Angle: 15 ± 2.5
    Side Angle: 22.5 ± 2.5

    Tip Set Back (Nom): 12.5
    Tip Set Back( RNG): 9 - 16
  • The Aluminum reflective coating on the backside of the cantilever increases the laser signal (A+B) by up to 2.5 times. Although not necessary for general imaging, reflective coating is recommended for thin cantilevers (< 2.5 µm), highly reflective samples, and machine vision applicaiton.

    Cantilever Thickness (Nom): 3.5
    Cantilever Thickness (RNG): 2.8 - 4.2
    Cantilever Geometry: Rectangular
    Cantilevers Number: 1
    Front Side Coating: Diamond-Like Carbon
    Back Side Coating: Reflective Aluminum
